In my second episode, I had re-introduced Jules Unscripted: Life Without a Script. Originally, I had planned to have my podcast be dedicated to an unfiltered, unapologetic, and everything topic wise podcast (for topics I found interesting and wanted to know more about). While that felt really cool and really fun, I started seeing some of my ideas and phrases pop up elsewhere before I even shared it.
While I know that it may not have been out of malice and intentionally, it still took a lot out of me. For months, I worked on the podcast and seeing it be done before I fully dropped my show, led me into a little bit of a depression, not going to lie.
I love doing podcasting and I love helping others. But seeing things I planned out in advance, being shared elsewhere it really took me by surprise and I had to step back into honing in on my podcast a bit more.
One thing I wasn’t going to change was my name. The name I originally thought of was already taken, and thus I did a little more digging and saw that Jules Unscripted was still available. I loved the unscripted aspect because with Thirty, Flirty, and Nerdy, that’s how my show was. Unscripted conversations about being 30. I added my name as part of the podcast title and while that can be detrimental in the podcast space, I wanted to have a personal touch for the podcast. I plan on bringing solo episodes with you all and life lessons I’ve learned along the way myself. I also wanted to start a lifestyle brand with this podcast. Create a little hub on the interwebs so to say. And that’s how Jules Unscripted was born.
Now, for the content? I loved the conversations surrounding aging, and wanted to hone in on that. With my previous podcast, I had age be 30 and above. However, there are those that I’d love to have on the show that are not yet 30 and share their own experiences navigating building their dream life. So, I wanted to keep true to what I loved about my previous podcast, and elevate it to be more inclusive, open, while having a general overarching theme that can still be open to different topics.
I’m so excited as well because I have so many wonderful guest’s coming on the show soon!!
While the first idea was great– it’s okay to take a step back, and really hone in on feels more aligned.
